General Info

The conference will take place at a resort hotel casino here in Las Vegas. We have plenty of meeting space and the hotel is very nice. There is a lovely pool and there are several restaurants to choose from. Guests never have to pass through the casino if they choose not to- neither to get to their guest rooms nor to get to the meeting space.

Lodging

We have reserved a limited number of rooms at an exceptional rate, and upon registration for the conference you will receive the contact information for the hotel in order to reserve your room. Rooms will go very fast at the rate we have been given, so reserve yours as soon as possible to avoid disappointment and a higher rate. You will need to reserve your room on your own unless you are the recipient of a scholarship.

Hotel policies- please read before contacting hotel:

Guests will make their reservations directly with the hotel. Each individual is required to provide a major credit card for first night’s room and tax deposit, which will be charged in order to guarantee accommodations.  All reservation requests must be received no later than 6/25/2010 5:00PM. Reservation requests received after the 6/25/2010 5:00PM cut-off will be confirmed on a space available basis at the prevailing rate.

Check-in time is after 3:00pm and checkout time is 12:00pm. It is understood and agreed that any changes from above stated check-in and checkout schedule will be subject to an early check-in fee of $10.00 and checkout fee equal to one-half of the daily room rate paid by guest.

Each guest will be responsible for the payment of room, tax and incidentals. The hotel requires first night room and tax deposit by major credit card at the time the reservation is made. The remaining room and tax will be due at checkout, unless a Debit card is used. If a Debit card is used to pay for room and tax, the card will be debited at check in for the full amount due. If a Debit card is used to cover incidentals, the card will be debited at check in for a minimum of $100.00, which will be refunded if unused. Please note that major credit card or cash deposit of $200.00 will be required at check-in to guarantee incidental charges.

Cancellations:

Individual reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to scheduled arrival. Penalty charge in the amount equal to first night room and tax will apply to cancellations received inside seventy-two (72) hours.

Child Care

We are very fortunate this year to have a fabulous child care team all lined up. Kirsten and her mother will be caring for the children this year, and Kirsten has just completed a certificate in infant and child CPR and first aid. We have a room near the meeting space so that it will be just a short walk down a hall and easy to get to. Please inform us of your child care needs on your registration form.
